Well. The only place you’ll find this set is eBay. Unless you have a time travel machine. Hm. I could use one of those. Variable pricing. If you want a new set you can easily dropped above 15-20$. For the two barely used sets I got they were under 5$ +shipping. Ebay is cool like that. But is the price worth it. Yes. The used ones were…some sort of broken in so they were pretty magical. At least that was my first impression. Though .. they still are.

Well. Snowflakes on a typical Bicycle background. Doesn’t get too much better than that for me. I guess. Perhaps snowflakes on a tally ho card. Sparkly pretty.

Nothing says playing cards and holiday time that red and green playing cards with snowflakes on the back. Except for red and green playing cards with santa on the back. Probably more suited for me for holiday style card magic rather than holiday style card flourishing. Whatever that is. Of course, the green color changes better if you want to add snowflakes to a card or something. The red is like a deeper burgundy bicycle kinds of red. I think. I’m saying that from memory. Wait. I haven’t reviewed that Burgundy deck yet…darn…

Mixie : In other news, say hi to Mixie. Mixie is staying at my place for the summer, per request of a friend.

but for now, what have I been working on for the last week. uh…19′s Sounds Factory! They make vocaloid music. In Japan. But most of their stuff is available for download through their website. They even have instrumental tracks, off-vocal tracks, and vsq files for most of their music! you have no idea how long it took me to be able to convert the vsq files into readable sheet music(actually probably a little over 2 years).

Big Bicycle

Oh. That’s right. Its a regular post. I think I picked this one up back during the fall semester. Most of the time it just stays in my backpack until someone askes me to do a card trick or something. And then I pull this one out. And then I can’t do anything with it. I have trouble just shuffling it.

Big Bicycle: Its pretty big.

Yup. Thats a regular sized green bike besides it. I don’t think anyone will be one hand shuffling this thing anytime soon. Though I can carnahan and giant fan it normally.

Big Bicycle: Ace and Joker(2 included!)

Its a normal pack of cards with increased size and visibility. Good for card counting math based card tricks. Not so much for card flourishing.

Big Bicycle: Macro

Close up, there’s not much of a finish. Its that pasteboard type stuff, kinda like alladins, but its made in china, so its kinda of the closest you can get to cardboard cards but that doesn’t actually kill anything. You can still faro. But it won’t be worth it.

Made in China. But then again, so are the mini bicycle cards. Hm. I wonder what the next post is going to be?

BTW. Paul Gordon’s promotion where you pay him shipping to send you his ‘Professional Card Magic Miracles’, a 40+ $ value, but for free, was an excellent deal. Thank you Mr. Paul Gordon. I’ve only gone through a few of the tricks in this book. But I’ll say they’re top notch stuff. I’m currently working on a video of one of the effects. Perhaps it’ll show up by the end of summer if I’m not lazy. Haha I have all the editing software and camera. But the only thing I’m missing is a mini tripod stand. Haha, oh well. Well. I got this order in from cardconjurer off of UC/ebay a few weeks back. A couple of panguingue sets. I like pan sets, even though they’re not full decks, its still a stack of 300+ which I can always use later if I need to refill. Or arts and crafts.

Turns out I’m also a sucker for good packaging. Packaging should be an artform or something…

Bicycle Pan Set : This one seems to be for Pass Club...whatever that is.

Pass Club. I don’t know if that was a casino or not. Google doesn’t seem to think so. Must have been the logo or something. This one came in blue backs. I know that theres a red back set somewhere out there. I’ve seen them on eBay before. ;-;

Bicycle Quality. I wish we had that today. Good stuff. Sort off. I can’t exactly use this stock for anything sleighty though.  Card aging does that.

Bicycle Pan Set: Delicious Box Art .-.

The box art makes it look like an antique. I like that kind of feel. Reminds me of that one time I actually wanted to be archeologist when I grow up. Except now, when I grow up, I want to be a giant robot.

Another pan set that came with the order. I had two other boxes, b-but, i forget where i put them. (read: too lazy to look(read: too lazy to reach over and take pictures of them)).

Well. Until next time, I need to actually think how many/which decks havent I touched yet. I’m sure I have a whole bunch I haven’t sorted through…

Well. This is what happens when I clean out my room. I find my highschool diploma. As well as a stash of casino cards that have little options as far as a purpose goes. I could’ve scrapped them. I could’ve scrapbooked them. I think this is a far more … fun … use and it clears out some of the boring empty wallspace in my room.

Poster making time?So.

I would have made more at the time, but I ran out of the poster paper stuff I was double stick taping it too. Sadness.

And I still have lots left. I could make a rainbow one or something.

Update: I got more poster paper. Awesome. Updates on progress sometime later or something. At least tomorrow is Memorial Day. Cool 3 Day weekend fun.

If anyone actually reads this, does anyone have any methods for opening and resealing a deck using the original wrapper. Much appreciated.

Any Card by Alain Nu

Yea. Its a fun read in any case. I like the bluff bridge idea, though I haven’t actually applied that anywhere. Must…perfect…mnemonica….

Also. That’s one of those Crusader branded golden nugget. It has the white border bee design that comes in green/gold and red/gold,  which are usually difficult to find unclipped or drilled. Except this one is in white/green/gold.  I got this one off of ebay for around 7$. Saw another go on ebay for around 30something. Haven’t seen any others. They were apparently sold as a gift shop item with a calendar card dating back to …uhhh… 1977. That’s pretty old. Card quality…is a mix between good bicycle style stock and Old Las Vegas Club, the kind that feels like pasteboard. Fanning powder made it a little better, if it weren’t for the fact it has a click bend from age.

Uploading pictures is going to be a pain. Since I replaced my broken Casio a few months back with the latest Sony TX7. Awesomeness.

College has reduced my organization habits to cardboard boxes. Available in high amounts due to the craploads of stuff I order off of ebay, as well as the infinite amount of drinks sold by my college’s underground late night cafe.
